Keeping in my heart

Never lose again
those too short and scarce
moments of grace!

Those little space in time,
full of sun and divine light,
which, with so simple things,
bring joy into my heart.

Two beautiful mourning doves...
but so sad, oh so sad little souls!
Snuggled up on a branch,
under my window sill.
So near I can hear them,
whispering to me
their little miseries...

Gracious swallows
twirling around
and discovering
the new bird house
under the cornice...

Little wild flowers
in my garden,
snuggled between stones,
making their cousins from town,
blush from envy,
by their wild beauty.

The scent of lilacs
brought to me by the wind...
My friend, the Wind
who, for my enchantment,
swirls all around me,
giving me the subtile feeling
of wings growing on my back.

Those moments when my name
sounds like a carress
coming from you...

Yes, all these moments of grace!

To say or not to say...

Space is so short, so narrow
on a wavelenght...

The risk of losing my joy,
simply by telling,
is so great...

But, then again,
to keep inside me
all those little moments
of happiness,
is like keeping
a bird in cage...

It is yet keeping,
captive between my fingers,
this lovely and fragile butterfly
with its ethereal wings...
In keeping it too long a time
it will loose its colors,
its wings will crush...

The most abundant sorrows,
I surely can spare a few...
letting the wind bring them away.

But this joy in my heart
on these moments of grace,
is too great a precious treasure...
and so fragile,
like the wings of the butterfly...

Far more too precious,
to let it go into the swirls
of the madding crowd.

Oh, quickly! close the doors,
close the windows!
Only the window
through which the suns
enter in my home
on the dawn of the day
shall remain open
for this magic hour
when the sun
invade my room and my heart!

And if at the twilight time
my soul feels empty again,
for having said too much,
and not listened enough,
the luminous star
will be there
to warm me
and fill me with light again!
